Observability & Cloud Engineer F/H

Context

Our client, a leader in the French fashion industry, is looking to expand its IT team and is creating a new position of Observability & Cloud Engineer F/H to support its growth and ambitious roadmap.

You will be part of an IT department of 400 committed employees, free to express their ideas, to act and proud to take on digital challenges. You will be involved in the creation of the new Observability division.

Mission

In line with the company's vision, the IT department has begun its transformation by promoting the use of Cloud platforms and Devops practices.

You will be responsible for the implementation and smooth running of the application supervision, monitoring and observability infrastructures.

You are a key element in the creation of the new Observability Monitoring division and in the growth of the team on these subjects!

On a daily basis:

• You will be responsible for ensuring that our infrastructure and application monitoring and observability tools work properly and are relevant (Availability, Updates, Sizing and Performance)
• You will be responsible for setting up the foundations of the observability solution: tag management, agent configuration management, monitors and dashboards
• You develop the use of the ELK suite and integrate it with the application monitoring needs
• You analyse the needs with the operational business (IS)
• You evangelise the subject and advise users
• You ensure change management through communication and training of users of the observability solution
• You write documentation to enable the operational teams to implement, configure and operate the infrastructure
• You will participate in maintaining the operational conditions of the server and database infrastructures that enable Kiabi applications to function
• You industrialise and automate everything that can be automated in order to lighten all operational tasks and you delegate what can be automated to the operational teams (N1 / N2)
• You capitalise on the incidents encountered in order to constantly improve the service provided to users
• You organise the resolution of technical problems across the board
• You ensure that customer communication in the context of major incidents is carried out to all affected departments
• You participate in the choice of technologies and develop these infrastructures in conjunction with the architecture team
• You participate in the transition of its infrastructures to the cloud by instilling a Devops and automation culture
• You implement, administer and develop the security policy defined by the CISO

Profile

You have a strong passion for technology and experience in the field of cloud infrastructure.

The technical scope :

• Observability (e.g. Datadog, Dynatrace, AppDynamics or Splunk) / ELK suite / Docker / GKE

and ideally, if you know it too:

• CentOs and Red Hat / Oracle databases - PostgreSQL - MongoDB / Solarwinds / Terraform / Ansible

You have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with teams. You have the ability to convince and guide and you are known for your positivism and leadership!

You are driven by agility and collaboration and are constantly on the lookout for new technologies.

Additional information:

The position is to be filled on a permanent basis, in the Lille area.
