Data Integrator - Montreal

Context

Our client is currently looking for a data integration expert.

This role requires a creative mindset, excited about tackling some of the biggest technical challenges in data analysis. You will be joining a team that specialises in data valuation. With expertise in data governance, integration, visualisation and data science, they are involved in a variety of projects from modernising data platforms, managing massive data, to applying machine learning algorithms.

You will have the opportunity to work on the development of Microsoft data platforms with a team of data analysis experts who are Microsoft Gold Partner and Select Level Service Partner with Snowflake.

Mission

As a Data Integrator you will :

• Communicate estimates of effort and timing;
• Establish the functional and technical specifications of data processing according to the principles established at the solution architecture level;
• Ensure traceability of all types of data processing;
• Designing extraction processes that are efficient and meet feeding needs;
• Designing processes for feeding the various target data models;
• Design the technical specifications of the continuous flows as defined in the solution architecture;
• Design, optimize and deploy data pipelines with dynamic variables;
• Develop data exchange mechanisms and API Rest interfaces;
• Manage code branches and versions, and code sharing within the ;
• Participate in the elaboration of unit and integration test scenarios, as well as in security tests;
• Carry out unit tests, integration tests and security tests according to the established scenarios and document the results;
• Support the performance of acceptance tests.

Profile

• Understand single cloud, multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures, their advantages and challenges;
• Experience in developing ELT/ETL solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform with Data Factory, Synapses, Event Hubs and Databricks;
• Experience in managing access security in Azure ;
• Experience with Azure Blob Storage and ADLS Gen2;
• Experience in using several OOTB connectors and ability to create custom connectors;
• Good knowledge of using Azure DevOps to manage user stories;
• Experience with Snowflake technology (an asset).
