Microsoft BI Technical Lead

Context

Our client, an expert in data enhancement and technology solutions integration since 2006 in Quebec, is currently recruiting a Microsoft BI Technical Lead to join its Centre of Excellence located in Montreal.

This role requires a creative mindset, excited about tackling some of the biggest technical challenges in data analysis. You will be joining a team that specialises in data valuation. With expertise in data governance, integration, visualisation and data science, they are involved in a variety of projects from modernising data platforms, managing massive data, to applying machine learning algorithms.

You will have the opportunity to work on BI and Analytics projects using new cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure, Snowflake and AWS).

Mission

As a Microsoft BI Technical Lead you will :

• Analyze data mapping;
• Participate in the design of ETL/EL flows;
• Develop ETL/EL processes to feed a data lake, data warehouse and data counters;
• Develop control mechanisms to ensure traceability and data quality;
• Optimally evolve data mining and dashboard solutions
• Develop the deployment mechanisms of the solution;
• Supporting users in acceptance testing.

Profile

• Proficiency in ETL/EL development (minimum 8 years experience) ;
• Perfect command of SQL and DAX ;
• Experience with Microsoft tools (Power BI, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Azure Databricks);
• Experience in relational and dimensional modelling;
• Experience in deploying ETL solutions;
• Fluency in written and spoken French;
• Proactive and enthusiastic in solving complex problems;
• Good communicator, resourceful, autonomous, good analytical skills and team player;
• Experience in a consultancy mode;
• Fluency in written and spoken English;
• Have participated in an Agile development.
